Write a book review to submit to the journal, Marine Policy https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/marine-policy following the submission guidelines below.
The book review should be in your own words; you should not simply rewrite an existing review of either book. Your book review should be a critical evaluation of your text of choice.
It should make a point. A book review is a commentary on the work, not just a summary of the chapters. Your opinion of the book should be explicitly articulated and include quotes that illustrate the points you want to convey.
Book reviews in journals tend to be short; yours should not exceed 500 words in length (and should not be less than 400 words). Your book review should provide your reader with a concise summary of the entire work including its main thesis, it should offer an assessment of the research findings presented and implications discussed, and should end with a suggestion for your readers on whether or not the book is worth reading. If your recommendation is to not read this book, is there a different one you would suggest?
You can read for 30 days for free here: https://www.scribd.com/book/415374693/Vanishing-Fish-Shifting-Baselines-and-the-Future-of-Global-Fisheries (You will have to make an account)

In this assignment you will critique bad science in advertising. You will need to
find an example of an advertisement (this could be from television, a
magazine, trade publication, an informercial, promotional website, pamphlet,
podcast etc.) where you believe there is an overstatement of claims relying on
the misuse of science. You will then analyse why the claims are misleading,
the strategies used to exploit science and mislead consumers as well as
explain what kind of evidence would be required to demonstrate the claims. I attached the assignment template below.
